TOURS OF CHINATOWN
Length:
60- 90 minutes.
Tour Fees: Contact me.
Tour #1: Chinatown West
Location: Spadina Avenue and Dundas Street West

Explore the sights, sounds, and smells of Chinatown West, a vibrant and historic neighbourhood adjacent to Kensington Market. I share my memories of the family associations, restaurants, and overlooked laneways. Explore a temple, drop in at a kung fu club, and discover what fills undreds of drawers and jars at a traditional herbal centre.
Tour #2: Toronto's First Chinatown
Location: Dundas Street West and Elizabeth Street
Little is left of Toronto's first Chinatown but the roots of the early Chinese community survives as a reminder of its humble beginnings. A step back in time traces the roles of the laundries, restaurants, and community associations during the pre-war days of the so-called bachelor society.
